In
a time beyond reckoning came the Unmaking and the Gods who
walked the land were thrown down and the Worlde was
broken. From this Splintered Land first came dragons
and elves born of the Unmaking, then dwarves and
gnomes and finally humankind. Empires rose and fell
over thousands of generations...
